per il glorioso marchio svedese, la &lt;b&gt;SAAB&lt;/b&gt;, che proprio da poco ha ripreso a vivere, sotto la guida del gruppo Spyker.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Questo progetto nasce dall'unione di persone provenienti da &lt;b&gt;tutto il mondo&lt;/b&gt;: &lt;i&gt;Usa, Svezia, Spagna, Italia, Inghilterra, Germania, Egitto, Olanda, Portogallo, Turchia, Polonia, Finlandia, Danimarca...&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Ho l'onore e il piacere di far parte di questo team come &lt;b&gt;car designer&lt;/b&gt;. in quanto, oltre ad avere l'imponenza tipica delle auto di quel settore, alle forme muscolose e quasi esagerate, unisce uno studio di forme e di eleganza che non sempre e non in tutte le muscle car, a mio avviso, è facile trovare.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Con in mente le bellissime forme del modello americano ho cominciato dunque a realizzare i primi &lt;b&gt;bozzetti&lt;/b&gt; del mio concept molto alla buona per poi arrivare a definirne bene le forme e congelarle verso gli inizi di Ottobre 2009 con tre bozzetti che fanno capire lo spirito del modello. La caratteristica piu' evidente è l'imponente "&lt;b&gt;terzo volume&lt;/b&gt;" tipico di tutti i modelli Impala sin dall'anno della sua creazione.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Altro elemento fondamentale è stato il &lt;b&gt;taglio della fiancata&lt;/b&gt;, facilmente riconducibile al DNA dell'Impala. La sinuosita' di quella zona infatti a mio avviso è una delle parti piu' ben riuscite ai designer americani dell'epoca.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Un ultima caratteristica che ho voluto riprendere in maniera molto fedele, è visibile nella versione Sport Coupè. Si tratta della &lt;b&gt;zona lunotto&lt;/b&gt; che cade dolcemente sul volume di coda e lo ricopre quasi nella sua totalita'.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;A grandi linee i richiami estetici al modello americano non sono voluti andare oltre. Ci sarebbero altre cose, alcune sottigliezze o alcune altre che sottigliezze non sono ma che comunque sono riscontrabili in molte altre muscle car dell'epoca. Sto parlando del cofano anteriore molto lungo, lo sbalzo anteriore poco vistoso rispetto al resto del corpo vettura, il taglio dei vetri laterali etc...&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Il tema dominante è il nome stesso dell'auto,&lt;b&gt; la lettera V&lt;/b&gt; difatti è la fonte di ispirazione principale delle linee del concept. L'ampia superficie vetrata è stata pensata per una totale immersione nell'ambiente circostante rendendo piu' piacevoli i viaggi sia per chi è alla guida che per i passeggeri&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Le &lt;b&gt;misure&lt;/b&gt; dell'auto sono importanti. Circa 5000mm di lunghezza, 2000mm di larghezza e un'altezza di 1400mm circa.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Idealmente ho previsto l'utilizzo di una motorizzazione ibrida attualmente molto in uso anche per modelli di serie. Un motore elttrico-benzina in grado di garantire prestazioni e rispetto per l'ambiente.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;__________________________________________________________________________________&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;My plans for the “V” began around the end of September 2009.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The “V” is a 4 seater coupe’ intended for comfort, luxury and the pleasure of driving without forgetting the obvious sportiness typical of the muscle cars of the end of the 70s.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The main inspiration, which eventually became a sort of tribute, comes from one of my favorite cars: the ’&lt;i&gt;67 Chevrolet Impala,&lt;/i&gt; protagonist of the famous TV series &lt;i&gt;“Supernatural”&lt;/i&gt;.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;i&gt;With this concept I didn’t want to do a re-design or a retro-design of the glorious aforementioned American model, instead I chose to create a model of my own which could at the same time be a tribute to the style that I’ve always admired and always looked upon as an icon of the American muscle cars&lt;/i&gt; which, with their imposing and almost exaggerated muscular build, create a study of form and elegance which isn’t always easy to achieve.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Keeping in mind the beautiful contours of the American model I began to prepare the &lt;b&gt;initial sketches&lt;/b&gt; of my concept and continued until the forms were well defined and could be made permanent towards the beginning of October ’09. These are shown in three sketches which portray the overall spirit of the model.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The most obvious feature of the “V” is the imposing “&lt;b&gt;third volume&lt;/b&gt;” typical of all the Impala models since the year it was created. Another fundamental element is &lt;b&gt;the shape of the side&lt;/b&gt;, which can easily be traced back to the Impala’s own DNA. The fluidity of that area is, I think, one of the parts best conceived by the American designers of those times. And finally, a detail from the Sport Coupe’ model that I wanted to faithfully recapture is the&lt;b&gt; rear window&lt;/b&gt;, which falls harmoniously on the tail end of the car and almost entirely covers it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Overall there are few other references to the aesthetics of the American model; there are some significant and some not so significant details which can be found in the muscle cars of that time period such as the very long front hood, the front bump which is less visible with respect to the rest of the body of the car, the slant of the side windows, etc.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The dominant theme is the concept’s name itself; &lt;b&gt;the letter V&lt;/b&gt; is in fact the main source of inspiration for concept’s design and as can be seen it is evoked in several features of the concept. The “V”s spacious surface was studied to offer a feeling of complete immersion in the surrounding environment making trips more pleasurable, not only for the driver, but for the passengers as well.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The car’s &lt;b&gt;dimensions&lt;/b&gt; are also noteworthy. About 5000mm in length, 2000mm in width, and a height of about 1400mm. Ideally I predicted the use of hybrid motor, currently in high demand even for designer cars, electrically and fuel run which can guarantee optimal and eco-friendly performance.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The “V” was born days before I even picked up pen and paper for my first sketches. I began to see it while driving to work and looking out my rearview mirror I could already see the image of a car which was imposing, elegant and striking, but at the same time sporty and aggressive. L'elemento orizzontale che unisce i due timoni oltre a conferire rigidita' alla struttura garantisce stabilita' in volo.Insomma un progetto estremamente interessante che in futuro potra' avere sviluppi importanti ma che ora non sto ad anticiparvi.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;About Bruno Giardino&lt;/i&gt;:Bruno Giardino cresce alla scuola dei grandi "carrozzieri" torinesi. Ho immaginato questa impostazione con le ruote a sbalzo sebbene le stesse implicano dimensioni maggiori soprattutto in larghezza.&lt;br /&gt;Ma al contempo la mia visione si è estesa alla citta' stessa. Nel futuro le megalopoli non le vedo iperaffollate come le odierne. Sara' un mondo organizzato con servizi pubblici che svolgeranno il loro lavoro alla perfezione permettendo cosi a noi di vivere l'auto non piu' come mezzo di trasporto necessario ma come puro divertimento, sia per il confort che per gli occhi.&lt;br /&gt;Le auto assumeranno forme piu' bizzarre e la mia proposta fa il verso al mondo degli insetti; in particolare alla Mantide Religiosa, affascinante ed elegante insetto con delle caratteristiche zampe anteriori molto accentuate.&lt;br /&gt;Inoltre sara' totalmente ad impatto ambientale zero. La sua Corvette Sting Ray. Un sogno su quattro ruote.&lt;br /&gt;Al giorno d'oggi molti designer si cimentano a riproporre vetture del passato in chiave moderna andando a disturbare, quasi a voler risvegliare linee che sono già nel mondo dei sogni. Dei nostri sogni.&lt;br /&gt;Credo che personalmente è una cosa che non farò mai... ma con cio' non voglio criticare chi lo fa anche perchè so bene che molto spesso non sono prettamente formali i motivi che fanno pendere verso la scelta di riproporre modelli passati.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Io adoro creare i miei concept in due modi principalmente: partendo da zero o cercando ispirazione da qualcosa che ai miei occhi risulta glorioso creando pero' un nuovo modello e non un retromodel.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;E quest'ultima è la filosofia che ho utilizzato per creare questa Corvette che vedete. Il mito della Sting Ray del '63 è nella mia testa, le sue curve sinuose sono proiettate nei miei occhi e le mie mani traducono cio' che il mio cervello ha elaborato proiettandolo nel futuro.&lt;br /&gt;Io vivo cosi le mie auto.Vivo cosi la mia passione.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nello specifico: si tratta di una coupè 2 posti secchi con motore anteriore. Una vera e propria Funny car fusa con un puro esercizio di stile.
